Back for Now

Sorry about the lateness of this post. I've been doing some work outside of everything else. Plus, I've been dealing with depression for a while, so I ended up losing a lot of interest in things. No worries though, makeup has still been pretty big for me and I still spend a boat load of money on it. I have been buying a bunch of different things and trying a bunch of other stuff. So without further ado, I will tell people what has been going on in my little world of makeup.

So, I have been trying out the Revlon Colorstay liquid foundation. I have to say that I'm very happy with it. I do have a slight problem with color matching. My skintone is not very, natural, I guess. I am an in between shade, I guess you could say. I've noticed that most colors don't match my face. However, I have tried using EDM (Every Day Minerals). I was very happy with the outcome of the mineral foundations, but I just found that it wasn't very practical for me, for everyday use. But I did find it very nice, covers decent if you get the intensive formula. So, not only did I try the Revlon foundation, I also decided to give a few others a try as well. I tried the Almay Smart Balance Smart Shade foundation as well. Now that one went over like hell in a handbasket. It was majorly orange on my face, and that was using the lightest color. So I tried something new that Wet N' Wild had come out with, which was a blend of color matching foundation and primer. That was the best stuff I had really ever used. Minus one problem. It didn't really cover. It was more like a tinted primer. The color matched really good but there just wasn't enough of it. I hope that Wet N' Wild goes back to the drawing board and does that one a bit better. I could def. see myself buying that consistently as the quality was extremely decent for the price. Then there is my newest favorite. The Revlon Spa one. I don't remember the whole name of it but it's the funky one that has the foundation brush attached to it. The color is slightly too light, but as for foundations that don't have a lot of funky sounding flesh tone names, this one was extremely decent. I know that people say this foundation is one of Revlon's worst, but I really like it.

So today, I decided to go out for once, and went to see"New Moon". This isn't a review on movies, so I'll just get to the point. I went to Wal-Mart, and was carousing through their christmas isle and noticed these "Get the Look" sets that offered 2 looks in each palette with 4 different Looks at only $3 a piece. Now, knowing me, I just couldn't help myself , so I bought 3 of them. I got the Smokey, Romantic, and Vixen. The other one they had was a Metallic, and right now I'm just not that into dark, glittery green eyeshadow at the moment. So today I had a looksee at the Romantic pallete and decided to give the green romantic look a go. These are not bad eyeshadows, but they are not the best. Nevertheless, for the price of these, they are definitly a try them out product. They had a slight sparkle to them and wasn't very deep in color, either. I found that it was the perfect look for almost any type of night. Whether it be going to the movies, or just hanging out with friends, it was nice to find a really general type of look without going too overboard on color.

I wish I had some pictures that I could post on here, sadly the camera is M.I.A. So, for now, this is all I can give you guys until I figure out how the new phone will work with photos.

With the new year coming up, I hope that I am able to post some more blogs as well as trying to find ways of sharing my blog with my community.

As always, feel free, do what you like, and who cares how you act.
Just be yourself, and always follow your heart.
